JAMB Urges School Principals To Sensitise Students On UTME

The Registrar of Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is’haq Oloyede, has urged the Association of All Nigeria Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPS) to sensitise students ahead of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for higher performance.

This was contained in a release signed by JAMB’s Head of Publicity and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin, and made available to Blueprint Monday.

Speaking at the just-concluded meeting of the Southwest Bloc of ANCOPSS, held in Ibadan, Oyo state, Oloyode charged the participants to prioritise sensitisation of their wards, especially those in the senior classes, on the use of the Board’s Integrated Brochure and Syllabus System (IBASS) while preparing for the UTME.

The registrar, who was represented by the Acting Zonal Director, Ibadan Zonal Office, Mrs. Olajumoke Adeleke said, “IBASS is a robust, interactive and informative platform that guides candidates through the choice of UTME subjects, weighting, list of tertiary institutions in the country and programmes they offer,” Prof. Oloyede on his part said.
