Athletic training is recognized by the American Medical Association for providing quality health care and educating athletes and coaches about injury prevention.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/li>\n        <li class=\"ws-accordion__item\" id=\"what-do-athletic-trainers-do\">\n            <div class=\"ws-accordion__heading-wrapper\">\n                <h2 class=\"ws-accordion__heading\">What do Athletic Trainers Do?<\/h2>\n                <svg class=\"ws-accordion__arrow\" viewBox=\"0 0 25.45 15.76\">\n                    <polyline points=\"23.73 1.81 12.73 12.31 1.73 1.81\"\/>\n                <\/svg>\n            <\/div>\n            <div class=\"ws-accordion__content\"><div id=\"fsEl_2890\" class=\"fsElement fsContent\" data-use-new=\"true\">\n<div class=\"fsElementContent\">\n<ul>\n<li>Injury\/Illness prevention and wellness protection<\/li>\n<li>Clinical evaluation and diagnosis<\/li>\n<li>Immediate and emergency care<\/li>\n<li>Treatment and rehabilitation<\/li>\n<li>Professional health and well-being training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All athletic injuries should be reported to Williston&#8217;s trainers in order for proper care and follow up. If athletes are medically excused from practices or games due to an injury or illness, they must provide information from their physician before they can return to play. The Williston Athletic Training Room in the Cain Athletic Center is available to visiting teams. Pre-game taping and treatment (if necessary) are available if we are notified in advance.
